This paper explains how Information Technology is in use in virtually every business today as managers are graded on their ability to handle the flow of information in computer databases. The author contends that one of the most important skills that any business manager will have to have in the foreseeable future is the ability to manage the IT hardware and software now required by business. This paper details the need for integrating IT systems and making them usable for the entire office staff. It describes the role that people play in the system and details several success stories of companies that have introduced IT systems into their company.
